Water Systems Specialist:  STATUS ACTIVE - Updated November 2025

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Present and sell company water systems products and services to current and potential pull through and wholesale customers. Pull through customers include, but are not limited to civil & mechanical engineers, pump stations & treatment plants, towns, municipalities, water & sewer authorities, pump, water systems and excavation contractors.
  • Provide support on job sites as needed. Includes but not limited to start ups and service calls.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals.
  • Coordinate company and manufacturer staff to accomplish the work required to close sales and/or gain specifications. This will include joint travel and sales calls with team members, wholesaler, and manufacturer personnel.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have previous knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, lunch and learns, trade shows, factory trips, contractor visits, and various other networking events.
  • Ability to maintain a lifestyle with significant local travel throughout New England. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and a reliable vehicle capable of pulling our Liberty Pumps / Water Systems trailer.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings, overnight travel, and occasional weekend work. Also included are occasional trips by car or plane to visit manufacturers and/or attend trade shows and conferences.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of outside sales or marketing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Ensure that customers receive an excellent level of service.
  • Provide information in response to inquiries about products or services and to handle and resolve complaints.
  • Aid customers in completing purchases or transactions.
  • Communicate with customers while entering data into a computer system.
  • Keep records of transactions and update and maintain databases of information. This includes recording all contact into CRM.
  • Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and handle administrative and clerical duties.
  • Communicate with outside sales people and have regular interaction with customers from all sales territories.
  • Demonstrate basic to intermediate computer knowledge and good interpersonal skills.
